The British-born artist is creator, writer and artist on a wide range of puzzle and activity books.
Chuck Whelon is a freelance cartoonist & member of the NCS, represented by the Beehive Illustration Agency. He was born and raised in Basingstoke, England, and now lives in San Francisco, California.
He is the author of a wide variety of internationally distributed children’s puzzle and activity books, including the “What to Doodle?” series for Dover, and more recently a series of search and find books including “Where’s the Mermaid?” for Penguin Random House.
He is the creator of the webcomic serial “Pewfell”, which he describes as a semi-autobiographical epic fantasy sit-com. He draws cartoons for Goodman Games’ Dungeon Crawl Classics role-playing game, and for a long time I drew the “Dr. Dig” strip for Cricket Magazine Group’s “Dig into History” magazine.
He has illustrated a number of boardgames for Minion Game, including his own creation “Legitimacy: The Game of Royal Bastards”.
His latest project is a new-kind of puzzle book called “Wizard Pickles”, which features a variety of different puzzles combines with search activities and an engaging story, to be published in 2019 by Polar Press.
