Volunteer

Our Fest is fueled by the energy and assistance of our Yellow Shirt Brigade — volunteers committed to helping behind the scenes and with the public, from assisting artists to guiding guests.

From behind-the-scenes to out-n-about, we have roles and time slots for lots of interests and availabilities! Volunteers receive a complimentary NCSfest t-shirt and are encouraged to enjoy all the Fest has to offer when not “on duty.”

Details about roles are below, the schedule and available time slots can be found on the volunteer sign up form:

NCSfest Hub at the Pier

Help answer questions, coordinate volunteers and artists, and be at the middle of the action! The NCSfest Hub is located in a tent in front of the Huntington Beach Pier and will be the main information source for festival participants and presenters. Volunteers may be asked to check in on other areas of the festival, so comfy shoes are suggested.

Main Street Marketplace

Want to work directly with local, national, and international artists? Volunteers on Main Street Marketplace will guide artists to their booth space, help set up displays, and orient artists to the festivals’ amenities. Volunteers will also assist festival guests with basic questions and help crews tidy or pack up at the end of the day. This is a busy position so we suggest sunscreen, hats, and comfy shoes!

Help things run smoothly, keep tidy and well-stocked, and stay safe. Volunteers will not be responsible for direct supervision or entertainment of children but should be comfortable working with and around families. This is an outdoor position so dress for sun and wear comfy shoes!
